Kim Melko has 20 years of experience in the horticulture industry and officially opened Plant Theory Landscaping in 2020 In addition to her horticultural career, Kim is a graphic designer. With an artist’s eye, she designs garden spaces that add beauty to the neighborhoods of Marquette, Michigan.

We enjoy collaborating with clients on new installations—whether bringing fresh ideas to life or working alongside new construction projects. In addition, we design and implement grading, drainage, and water-capture solutions to ensure water is directed where it belongs. Our expertise also extends to maintaining established landscapes, including historic East Side homes with designs influenced by Frederic Olmsted. These mature landscapes require a thoughtful, pull-and-replace approach to preserve their character while ensuring long-term health.
